Alisha • A ONE DAY BRIDE
Alisha + Lee
30th October 2016
WHEN AND HOW WE MET
We first met back in 2009 at The Precinct in Richmond on Anzac Day Eve. To this day I’m still saved as ‘Alisha Precinct’ in Lee’s phone and he refuses to change it!
DRESS + VEIL
I wasn’t sure what I was after, and to be honest I thought the dress was going to be the most difficult decision in the entire wedding as everything else I had a clear picture of what I wanted. All I knew is that I wanted something classic but contemporary with an interesting material. ONE DAY stood out to me as I fell in love with their fabrics and stunning designs and when I came in for my original appointment I couldn’t go past the lace on one of their gowns. The girls were great and encouraged me to try on all different designs which was lucky as I ended up choosing a design I wouldn’t normally go for! The finished result was absolutely beautiful and I am still in love with it.

GIFT REGISTRY/WISHING WELL
We had a wishing well for guests to put towards our honeymoon as we were travelling to Africa on a luxury Safari for 2 weeks followed by a week relaxing in Zanzibar. The wishing well helped us achieve so many incredible experiences such as Hot Air Ballooning over the Serengetti at Dawn.
The girls did an amazing job at organising my hen’s, as I had left it completely open for them to decide and had no inkling of what the day would entail. They hired a Penthouse at the Olsen in South Yarra in which we drank cocktails and played a few games, before heading out for a Flower Crown making session for everyone paired with Mexican food and Sangria. We then headed out to continue the night with more drinks and dancing on Chapel St.
THE BEST ADVICE I WAS GIVEN
Relax and take time to enjoy it as the day goes so fast! So many people had warned me the day goes by in a flash but it’s not until it happens to you that you realise how quickly it’s over.
