Lucy: A One Day Bride
24th September 2016 Horizon, Byron Bay
WHEN AND HOW WE MET
Daniel and I actually met camping! Which shocks a lot of people who know me as they didnt pick me for a camper. We were both on the trip on the Murray six years ago that was arranged by our good friends Lou and Cal. When we got back we started dating and pretty quickly figured out how much fun we have around each other and how easy it is together!
DRESS + VEIL
I always knew I wanted a One Day dress after seeing so many of the beautiful dresses that they have produced! I started to collect images of different dresses I liked the look of and after trying a few on at One Day worked out the style that suited me best. I loved the process of working with Kyha and the team to come up with my custom gown! They completely understood what I was after and I trusted their advice and opinion along the way. I was thrilled with the result!
I had three bridesmaids and my talented grandma actually made them for me! I wanted a very simple slip style and couldnt find it anywhere so my grandma, who actually used to be a wedding dressmaker made them for me. They looked amazing on the girls

My lovely bridesmaids (or brides slaves as I called them ? ) arranged the whole thing without any input from me. They hired a house in Richmond where we started for the afternoon with drinks, games etcthen we all did a silent disco roaming the streets of Richmond, which was SO fun! We would have looked hilarious to a passerby but everyone loved it. We then went to a belly dancing lesson and out to party.
THE BEST ADVICE I WAS GIVEN
I know everyone says it, but just to relax and try and take everything in! It really does go so quickly so I did try to be conscious of every moment and made sure I was experiencing everything with Daniel by my side.
